Paying With a School Purchase Order
U.S. public schools and districts can request to pay by purchase order (PO). Here is how it works.
- Request a quote. Most purchasing offices want a formal quote first. Request one here.
- Get your formal quote. We email an itemized quote you can take to your purchasing office.
- Request PO payment. Use the PO request option on our Schools & Purchasing page and include your quote number. We review the request and approve your order for PO payment.
- We confirm and ship. We confirm the details and lead time with you before anything ships.
Who can pay by PO?
U.S. public schools and districts. Community theatres, private schools and colleges can order online by card, or ask about net terms for approved accounts.
Tips for a smooth PO
- Make the PO out to Stage Gear LLC, 47 Main Street South, Woodbury, CT 06798, and reference the quote number.
- Send your tax-exempt certificate so tax isn't charged.
- Start early. If district approval takes weeks, work backward from tech week, especially for built-to-order Show-Ready systems (2–4 weeks).
- Send the PO and any vendor forms to hello@shopstagegear.com.
Each PO request is reviewed and approved individually. Renting? PO rules for rentals are different. See Paying for a rental with a purchase order.
