Projector Shows No Signal or No Image
Work through these safe checks in order.
- Select the right input/source on the projector (HDMI1, HDMI2, HDBaseT…). Use the remote's Source/Input button.
- Wake the computer and check that external display output is on (Windows + P, or Mac Displays settings). See Connecting a computer.
- Reseat both ends of the cable, and any adapters.
- Try a short cable you know works, directly from the laptop to the projector. If that works, the long cable, extender or adapter is the problem.
- Lower the computer's output resolution or refresh rate, then try again.
- Check signal extenders (if used): both ends powered, link lights on.
- Check the projector isn't on A/V mute or shutter closed (many remotes have an A/V Mute or Blank button), and that a lens cap isn't on.
- Restart in order: power off the computer, then power-cycle the projector (allow it to cool down if needed), then start the projector first and the computer second.
Projector has warning lights or won't turn on
Note the light pattern and look it up in the manual, then see Equipment not powering on. Don't open the projector.
