When Your Rental Arrives: The 24-Hour Inspection

Your rental ships with UPS tracking for every package. When it arrives, the first 24 hours matter.

Do this the day it arrives

  1. Open every case and compare the contents with your packing list.
  2. Photograph all equipment as you unpack it.
  3. Power it up and test it (see Setting up rental equipment).
  4. Complete the Customer Inspection Form within 24 hours of delivery. We email it when your order ships, and a printed copy is inside the packaging.
  5. Keep the cases, foam and return labels. You'll need them to send everything back.

If you don't submit the inspection form within 24 hours, the equipment is considered to have arrived in the condition documented at our pre-shipment inspection. You won't be able to later say damage was already there.

Something's broken or missing on arrival?

Contact Broadway Media immediately, on the same business day if possible and no later than the next business day, and record the issue with photos on the inspection form. See Rental equipment damaged, missing or not working.

Your rental agreement controls. This article summarizes the published rental terms in plain language. If anything here differs from the Hardware Rental Agreement or the other documents you accepted when booking, those documents control. Rentals are provided by Broadway Media Distribution, Inc. dba Broadway Media, Stage Gear's rental partner.

Questions about your rental

Contact Broadway Media at hello@broadwaymedia.com or 1-800-277-0343, and include your rental order number. Requests for exceptions, extensions or fee waivers are decided by the rental team; the help center and AI assistant can explain the published terms but can't change them.
